College years saw him honing his skills and performing with various bands, including Donald’s own creation, Airplai®. Impressing GeeJam Studios, Donald joined the renowned Jolly Boys band, touring across Europe, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. After settling in Canada, Donald focused on music production, composition, and teaching while releasing three solo albums. Rachelle Courtney is a Canadian jazz singer whose classic vocal style is reminiscent of artists such as Doris Day, Billie Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald. Her passion for music from the Golden Era and The Great American Songbook is evident in her charming and skilled interpretations. Whether singing a playful swing tune or heart-wrenching ballad, Rachelle is able to capture the spirit and authenticity of a song, and transport the listener back to a simpler time. She has been influenced and inspired by many contemporary artists including Stacey Kent, Jane Monheit, and Emilie-Claire Barlow. Rachelle attributes her success as a jazz singer to the years she spent studying music at Humber College in Toronto with some of the finest jazz musicians in the country. In complement to her jazz background, Rachelle also has extensive training in musical theatre, which is evident in her captivating stage presence, and ability to find the emotion and intention in a song’s lyric. Her understanding of jazz has been shaped not only by the training she received from world-class musicians and educators, but also by the opportunities she has been given to perform and be part of the broader jazz community.

JAZZ FEST - Denise Pelley Trio

Denise has performed with many great artists including acclaimed trombonist Ray Anderson, Gospel/Blues legend Jackie Richardson and Flamenco guitarist Jesse Cook.  She has opened for Aretha Franklin at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario. Denise has performed with symphony orchestras and festivals which have included the du Maurier Downtown Jazz Festival (Toronto), Ottawa Jazz Festival, The Royal Canadian Big Band Festival (London), Bluesfest (London), Waterloo Jazz Festival and Sunfest (London), among others. Denise also enjoys acting and has been part of The Grand Theatre (London) seasons performing in the Fats Waller musical Ain’t Misbehavin’, Wang Dang Doodle with Denis Simpson and A Streetcar Named Desire.  Denise’s one-woman show, Jazzabel premiered in September 2004 at the McManus Theatre (Grand Theatre), London, Ontario to sold out audiences!  In October 2005 Jazzabel was performed in Washington, DC at the National Museum for Women in the Arts and in February 2006 to audiences in New York City at Urban Stages Theatre.  As well, she was premiered in the February 2006 issue of O (Oprah Winfrey) Magazine.  Denise’s recording credits include seven CD’s. She is honoured with being the recipient of the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals.  In 2003 she was named a YM-YWCA Woman of Distinction in the Arts and Heritage category.  Denise won best jazz artist in London, Ontario’s Music Awards in 2002, 2003, 2006 and 2008, 2009, and 2012.  In April 2006 the Hyde Park Rotary presented her with the Paul Harris Fellowship Award, Rotary’s highest honour.   In 2008 and 2014 she won Jazz Artist of the Year at the Jack Richardson awards.  In February 2009 the London Black History Committee honoured Denise with the Black Community Achievement Award in recognition of her accomplishments, contributions and support to her community.  In April 2015 she was inducted into the London Music Hall of Fame.  In November 2015 Denise received a honourary licentiate diploma from Conservatory Canada.

Born in Malaysia, Nicole initially moved to Canada to pursue her musical endeavours in classical piano and voice in 2009. Upon completing her Masters in Vocal Performance and Literature at Western University in 2015, she found herself unexpectedly gravitating toward the world of jazz. Today, she performs with the Nicole Tan Combo; where they playfully showcase jazzified contemporary music, bossa nova, originals, and well-loved standards with a twist. A versatile performer and songwriter, Nicole is at home with both the contemporary and the classical, while boasting a repertoire of over ten languages. Currently, she is enjoying an active performing and real estate career, while conducting vocal workshops and sessions in Asia when she travels. Nicole is the winner of the 2022 Forest City London Music Awards (Jazz Vocalist) and the recipient of the 2018 Jack Richardson London Music Awards (Classical Vocal Solo). She is also the grateful nominee of the 2019 and 2020 FCLMA, and a holder of the RCCO Award (2017), BGM Competition Award, I.K. Laurraine draws inspiration from a wide variety of styles including jazz, Latin, cabaret, bossa nova, and contemporary Quebecois Pop. Her songbook features the likes of Charles Aznavour, Edith Piaf, Henri Salvador, Pink Martini, and Louisiana's very own Zachary Richard. Laurraine also boasts a growing collection of original compositions by some of London’s most talented songwriters. Laurraine has entertained crowds at London's most exclusive venues, including Aeolian Hall, Restaurant Ninety-One, Michael’s on the Thames, Maggie's, and the London Music Club. She's also appeared as a singer at Jazz by the Bog, London Jazz Society, The Aeolian Jazz and Musical Arts Festival, London Jazz Hub's Jazz on Dundas Place, and the long-standing Jazz for the People concert series. Along with Jake Levesque, she founded Enchanté, which has been serving up a bilingual mix of jazz and other styles of music to London-area audiences since 2004. Their motto is "Laissez les bons temps rouler!" - a phrase that perfectly captures the good vibes and energy of their performances. Laurraine is also a proud member of the vocal ensemble Mosaic, who has performed at the Home County Folk Festival and the Montreal Jazz Festival. Now, Laurraine is teaming up with Nevin Campbell - one of London's most talented pianists - to bring you soulful melodies and jazzy grooves.

Rick Kish & Nevin Campbell

Rick is a very busy guy. He's a several times nominated and holds the title of Forest City London Music Awards Jazz Vocalist 2019. He's performed on many stages around Ontario including the Grand Theatre in London, Huron Country Playhouse, Drayton Festival Theatre, Port Stanley Festival Theatre, Blyth Festival Theatre, Bluewater Summer Playhouse, and elsewhere… He served as Artistic Director at Port Stanley Festival Theatre, The Bluewater Summer Playhouse and currently LINK theatre & concerts… 

Rick & Nevin have been doing shows together for quite some time. Locally, they essentially held a monthly spot as Rick Kish & Friends at Jazz On The Thames at Michael's On The Thames from February 2019, through every possible opportunity available during the pandemic, to December 2022. They tour extensively with LINK theatre & concerts as The Crooner Christmas Show & The Crooner Show, the latter most recently in Ingersoll at ITOPA and the Globus Theatre in Bobcaygeon, ON this past summer. They also performed at The Aeolian Hall Jazz & Musical Arts Festival (AJAMAF) in August. They're looking forward to heading to The Century Church Theatre in Hillsburgh, Ontario in October with The Crooner Show. Christmas shows dates TBA. 

Nevin is very familiar face at the Ironwood Kitchen & Bar as he plays with many other talented performers. Nevin has been the musical director and pianist for LINK theatre & concerts, Crooner Show Series, of which there are many... He performs regularly with Rick as well as with many of Southwestern Ontario's finest musicians. He hopes that you have as much fun listening to the music as he has playing it!

Jim Spector

Renowned for his captivating performances and diverse musical repertoire spanning from Bach to rock, Jim Spector stands as an exceptional musician suitable for any occasion. With a mesmerizing presence on stage, he has enthralled audiences in prestigious venues including European concert halls, the iconic John Hancock Building in Chicago, and the esteemed Four Seasons Resort in Maui, Hawaii. 

Jim's musical prowess extends beyond live performances, with his recordings garnering international recognition. Notably, two of his released albums were nominated for Grammy Awards in 1998 and 1999, solidifying his place among the musical elite. Mark Henning

Londoner Mark Henning has been playing and teaching guitar and singing in the London and surrounding area for over 35 years. He has played many styles including jazz, blues and R&B, country and rock. He has studied guitar with Steve Erquiaga, Lorne Lofsky, and Jon Damien. Mark has performed with many blues and jazz groups at venues including the London Public Library, Museum London, Forest City Jazz Festival, Western University, and numerous clubs. He has played many times at the London Jazz Society, including a session as a member of the group that backed Phil Nimmons with Montreal jazz drummer Dennis Brown. He recorded his CD More Stuff in 2010, a compilation of blues, R&B and pop tunes. London based Rick McClelland has been playing bass guitar in the London area and elsewhere since 1974, playing in many different styles and with a wide range of different groups. Rick has performed across Canada and the Eastern USA as well as in Germany in a wide range of groups and styles including jazz, rock, pop and even classical. Rick's career highlights include a Juno nomination for Best Jazz Album 1985 for "Free For Now" on Justin Time Records with the Oliver Whitehead Quintet. He has performed at numerous jazz festivals including Montreal; Detroit ;Ottawa; Vancouver; Edmonton; Toronto; and Windsor. Rick and Mark have been playing together since the mid-eighties in several configurations. Most recently, they have been playing as a duo and continue to enjoy a wonderful musical chemistry. Their repertoire includes vocal jazz, R&B and rock standards.

Happy Birthday Sam! Sam was raised learning Music through the folk tradition in England where he discovered the freedom of fingerstyle guitar. He now lives in London, Ontario and can be found in the community playing contemporary fingerstyle folk, Celtic Music and jazz standards.

Nicole Tan & Nathan Nykor

Born in Malaysia, Nicole initially moved to Canada to pursue her musical endeavours in classical piano and voice in 2009. Upon completing her Masters in Vocal Performance and Literature at Western University in 2015, she found herself unexpectedly gravitating toward the world of jazz. Today, she performs with the Nicole Tan Combo; where they playfully showcase jazzified contemporary music, bossa nova, originals, and well-loved standards with a twist. A versatile performer and songwriter, Nicole is at home with both the contemporary and the classical, while boasting a repertoire of over ten languages. Currently, she is enjoying an active performing and real estate career, while conducting vocal workshops and sessions in Asia when she travels. Nicole is the winner of the 2022 Forest City London Music Awards (Jazz Vocalist) and the recipient of the 2018 Jack Richardson London Music Awards (Classical Vocal Solo). She is also the grateful nominee of the 2019 and 2020 FCLMA, and a holder of the RCCO Award (2017), BGM Competition Award, I.K. Cheah Memorial Award, Hedy King Robinson Award (ABRSM), Distinction of the Arts Award (Columbia International College), and the Western Graduate Research Scholarship (WGRS). Nicole is teaming up with Nevin Campbell - one of London's most talented pianists - to bring you soulful melodies and jazzy grooves.

Mark Henning

Londoner Mark Henning has been playing and teaching guitar and singing in the London and surrounding area for over 35 years. He has played many styles including jazz, blues and R&B, country and rock. He has studied guitar with Steve Erquiaga, Lorne Lofsky, and Jon Damien. Mark has performed with many blues and jazz groups at venues including the London Public Library, Museum London, Forest City Jazz Festival, Western University, and numerous clubs. He has played many times at the London Jazz Society, including a session as a member of the group that backed Phil Nimmons with Montreal jazz drummer Dennis Brown. He recorded his CD More Stuff in 2010, a compilation of blues, R&B and pop tunes. London based Rick McClelland has been playing bass guitar in the London area and elsewhere since 1974, playing in many different styles and with a wide range of different groups. Rick has performed across Canada and the Eastern USA as well as in Germany in a wide range of groups and styles including jazz, rock, pop and even classical. Rick's career highlights include a Juno nomination for Best Jazz Album 1985 for "Free For Now" on Justin Time Records with the Oliver Whitehead Quintet. He has performed at numerous jazz festivals including Montreal; Detroit ;Ottawa; Vancouver; Edmonton; Toronto; and Windsor. Rick and Mark have been playing together since the mid-eighties in several configurations. Most recently, they have been playing as a duo and continue to enjoy a wonderful musical chemistry. Their repertoire includes vocal jazz, R&B and rock standards.

Laurraine Sigouin

Laurraine draws inspiration from a wide variety of styles including jazz, Latin, cabaret, bossa nova, and contemporary Quebecois Pop. Her songbook features the likes of Charles Aznavour, Edith Piaf, Henri Salvador, Pink Martini, and Louisiana's very own Zachary Richard. Laurraine also boasts a growing collection of original compositions by some of London’s most talented songwriters. Laurraine has entertained crowds at London's most exclusive venues, including Aeolian Hall, Restaurant Ninety-One, Michael’s on the Thames, Maggie's, and the London Music Club. She's also appeared as a singer at Jazz by the Bog, London Jazz Society, The Aeolian Jazz and Musical Arts Festival, London Jazz Hub's Jazz on Dundas Place, and the long-standing Jazz for the People concert series. Along with Jake Levesque, she founded Enchanté, which has been serving up a bilingual mix of jazz and other styles of music to London-area audiences since 2004. Their motto is "Laissez les bons temps rouler!" - a phrase that perfectly captures the good vibes and energy of their performances. Laurraine is also a proud member of the vocal ensemble Mosaic, who has performed at the Home County Folk Festival and the Montreal Jazz Festival. Now, Laurraine is teaming up with Nevin Campbell - one of London's most talented pianists - to bring you soulful melodies and jazzy grooves.

Donald Waugh

Donald Waugh is a musical one man band hailing from Kingston, Jamaica. He began his musical journey at a young age, falling in love with the bass guitar. College years saw him honing his skills and performing with various bands, including Donald’s own creation, Airplai®. Impressing GeeJam Studios, Donald joined the renowned Jolly Boys band, touring across Europe, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. After settling in Canada, Donald focused on music production, composition, and teaching while releasing three solo albums. With his fourth album on the horizon, Donald’s passion for music continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
